We invite artists of all mediums, including performance, music and literature, to submit work which explores the relationship between opposing or complementary ideas, and/or the artist’s personal relationship with the concept of duality.
Dualities occur both tangibly and in abstract form, as both a natural phenomenon and part of our interior world. How does the mutual influence of two given things shape our identity, our creative process, or the world around us?
With this exhibit, we wish to curate a selection of work which responds to some/any of these questions: In which ways are we dual? as individuals? as artists? as a society? / What characteristics of ourselves or our systems enhance or negate each other? / How does this concept manifest in our creative work? / In which ways are dualities limiting or productive to our identity or community?
Deadline for submissions is December 15th.
