Madwoman Etc. will be visiting UNA from San Diego, CA, to showcase a fantastic selection of San Diego and Portland readers.
Our next issue is making its way into the world and we can't wait to share it with you! It will be hand cut and stapled, loud, and full of love as always. The reading will include some of our San Diego based family, as well as incredible readers/artists/humans from Portland.

Madwoman Etc. aims to create community and a sense of belonging and comfort in their events—"the audience is just as important as our readers, and no one person is on a pedestal. Our intention with this event is to offer an accessible and welcoming alternative to 'traditional readings'."
Madwoman Etc. is a San Diego-based collective of women who exist without permission. Women who are. Women who are not limited to the information on their birth certificates. Women who are mothers and women who are artists. Who are queer. Or brown. Or queer and brown. Gray area girls. Who don't give up. Who are complicated. Who are tired. Who are full of joy. Who are angry. Who are searching. Who are already home.
We believe in women who make people nervous. Big hearted women. Tough women who love all the way or not at all. Women with bloody knuckles and a bouquet of flowers.
We fundamentally disagree with the notion that those women cannot exist in the same body. We are publishers of books/zines, makers of things, and space invaders. Madwoman Etc. aims to be overall purveyors of dopeness and champions of artists we love.
